The Morgan State University SGJC Global Reporting Project Team members are in Athens, Greece to report about what is happening in different parts of the world in ways that recognize international diversity. This particular trip to Greece examines various aspects resulting from the current economic and refugee crisis.

Representing the SGJC are Synclaire Cruel, Student journalist, Morgan State University; and Arius Bevins Student journalist, Morgan State University. Accompanying the students is Jacqueline Jones, Chair, Department of Multimedia Journalism, Morgan State University.

The trip is part of a partnership with Penn State University, in which SGJC students were invited to accompany students in an international news reporting class taught by former Baltimore Sun correspondent and editor Anthony Barbieri. SGJC was invited by PSU’s College of Communications Dean Marie Hardin for this partnership. SGJC journalism major Synclaire Cruel, and Broadcast and Integrated Media major Arius Bevins are the first Morgan State students to participate in the program.
