Cuba june.2016: esto es Cuba! —No adiós, pero véale pronto June 10, 2016

HAVANA, CUBA —After a week of interactions and discovery, the time comes for Morgan State students to say goodbye to Havana, Cuba. Goodbye to the drinks, the food, the sculptures, the live music, the Spanish immersion, and even a temporary goodbye to new friends. However, in the mist of departure there is an opportunity for introduction. As we students say goodbye to the Caribbean island, we say hello to ourselves.
I learned that there are more levels to who I am. I’m not sure if it was the island itself or the work that constantly kept my mind going, but something new was awakened in side of me —senior Kendra Hawkins
We discovered our passions.
…I also discovered that I have a true passion for producing. Producing this documentary was extremely important to me because it was paramount for me to convey to the world, that Cuba is drastically different from what US media portrays it as —junior Katia Jordan
We realized that even the smallest things can be taken for granted.
